Application
Shut-off valve used mainly for water, steam,
air, natural gas, coke-oven gas, oil products,
diesel, petrol, oil etc. for working pressures
and temperatures:

Technical description
Revolving disc is fixed with double
eccentricity in the body. Teflon sealing with a
special shape is fixed in the body and secured
by the thrust ring. Sealing surface on the disc
is welded on. Pin and shaft are placed in self-
lubricating bearings. Pin is sealed by the flat
asbestos-free gasket and shaft by soft-cord
packing.

Connection
Wafer connection is as per DIN 2501, resp.
ČSN 131060. Face-to-face dimensions as per
ČSN EN 558-1, line 16. Basic connecting
dimensions are given in the table.

Body wrought carbon steel
Disc wrought carbon steel + weld.
overlay 18-8CrNi
Shaft, pin stainless steel
Sealing ring PTFE, PTFE+15%C
Shaft & pin sealing asbestos-free

Testing
Swing check valve is tested as per DIN 3230,
(ČSN 133060, part 2).

Installation
Butterfly valve can be installed either into horizontal, vertical or inclined pipeline. Medium flow must be as per the arrow on the
body and the shaft axis must be in horizontal position. Pipeline shall be quit of all impurities and residuals after welding to avoid
sealing surfaces damage. During the installation the bolts type in the shaft area must be considered. It is clear from the table when the stud bolts shall be used. When actuator or gearbox is to be connected it is very important to adjust the open-close limits of the disc.

Control
Valve can be controlled by the gearbox with handwheel or multi-turn electric actuator. Another kind can be remote control from the
stand. Smaller sizes can be controlled directly by the quarter-turn actuator. Further possibilities of control are pneumatic or
hydraulic cylinders. That kinds shall be always discussed with the producer.
