Installation
Butterfly valve can be installed either into horizontal or vertical
pipeline. For valves actuated by a multiturn electric via worm gear drive, the axis
of the electric motor should remain horizontal. If the electric actuator is
fitted with the electric motor above with its axis vertical, the amount of oil
must be increased. The butterfly valve is a two-way valve, but for improved tightness it is installed in piping so that, with the valve
closed, the differential pressure presses the disc into the seat.

Technical description
The disc is eccentrically pivoted in the valve
body on the shaft, which turns in sliding
bearings and is sealed with rubber rings. The
disc fits into the rubber sealing seat, which is
held in the body with a thrust ring.

Swing check valve is tested as per DIN 3230.
Control
The butterfly valve can be operated with a
handwheel via a worm gear, chainwheel or
multi-turn electric actuator, or from a stand.
Butterfly valves up to sizes of DN 350 and at
pressures of up to PN 10 can be also operated
by a single-turn electric actuator. The type of
electric actuator is selected by the supplier.
