Installation
Butterfly valve can be installed either into horizontal or vertical pipeline. For valves actuated by a multiturn electric via worm gear drive, the axis of the electric motor should remain horizontal. If the electric actuator is fitted with the electric motor above with its axis vertical, the amount of oil must be increased. The butterfly valve is a two-way valve, but for improved tightness it is installed in piping so that, with the valve closed, the differential pressure presses the disc into the seat. 

Control
The butterfly valve can be operated with a handwheel via a worm gear, chainwheel or multi-turn electric actuator, or from a stand.Butterfly valves up to sizes of DN 400 and at pressures of up to PN 10 can be also operated by a single-turn electric actuator. The type of electric actuator is selected by the supplier.

Technical description
The semi-lenticular disc is eccentrically
pivoted in the valve body on the shafts, which
turn in sliding bearings and are sealed with
"O" - rings. A shaped rubber sealing ring is
held in the disc by means of a thrust ring.
When the valve is closed this sealing ring fits
into the stainless steel sealing seat, which is
fixed in the body.

Face-to-face dimensions are as per DIN 3202
F4. Flange connecting dimensions as per DIN
2501. Flange faces as per DIN 2526, Form C.

table.
