Application
The MODACT MO actuators are intended for positioning of control elements by reverse
rotary motion (for ex. gate valves and other
devices, for which they are suitable according to its characteristic). Typical example of
application is two-position or multiposition
control of these units, where tight closure in end positons is needed. The MODACT MO
CONTROL actuators can be provided with
position regulator, reversing contactor, current protection of the actuator and
electronic brake BAM. They enables to control actuating devices, which works in the
control circuits depending on the value of analog incoming signal of the position
regulator. They are available also only with reversing contactors or with reversing
contactors and electronic brake BAM.
Supply voltages of the actuators
Supply voltage of the MODACT actuators is 3 x 230/400 V, 50Hz (different voltage must be
consulted). Other actuators for different
voltages and frequencies can be supplied after agreement with the supplier. Detailed
informations are in the technical specifications.
Operation position
The actuator is usually installed to position, where the output shaft axis is in vertical
position and actuating chamber is upwards. It
can also work in different position, but the actuator axis must not be more than 15° under
the horizontal level.

Protective enclosure
Protective enclosure of the MODACT MO (MODACT MO CONTROL) actuators is IP 55 as per ČSN 33 0330 (protective
enclosure is IP 54 with the brake motor). The manufacturer is completing technical description of protective enclosure IP 67.
Connecting
Electric actuators MODACT MO are designed for direct installation to actuating devices. Connecting is with flange and coupling
as per ČSN 18 6314 (ST SEV 5448-85) or as per ISO DIN 5210 and DIN 3338. Adapters are supplied when connecting to valves
with different installation dimensions. Operation
Center wheel of differential gear is driven via countershaft gearing by three-phase asynchronous motor. Center gear of differential
gear is in carrying box of the actuator (power gear). Crown wheel of epicyclic differential gear is held in stable position by a self-
locking worm gear when being actuated. Handwheel connected with the worm enables alternative hand actuation even when the
electric actuator is running, without danger for operator.
