Application
Special valve to enable chemical cleaning or
pressure testing of piping systems. Service
fluids can be water, steam and other non-
aggressive liquids from heating and energy
equipment at temperatures up to 500°C.
Pressure l°cks are supplied according to
special technical conditions in two pressure
series.
- up to PN 100 (for medium pressures)
- up to PN 400 (for higher pressures)
Technical description
The body is a forging or die forging. The
upper flange is bonnet-type or, in the pressure
sealing version, with a sealing ring. The
internal structure for chemical cleaning and
pressure testing consist of a sealing and
retaining plate, JERIT sealing and stay bolt.
For chemical cleaning the cover also has an
outlet hole. For normal use, the body has an
insert and two removal bolts. For chemical
cleaning bonnet has branch.
Connecting and end-to-end dimensions
End-to-end dimensions are given in the table
below. Weld end finish as per DIN 2559 and
ÈSN 13 1075 and 13 1070.

Testing
The pressure lock is tested as per DIN 3230-3,
ÈSN 13 3060, part 2.
Installation
The pressure lock is installed in horizontal
pipe-line with the cover uppermost.
