Rubber expansion joint - M 80 010-910(916) PN 10, PN 16

Testing
The expansion joint is tested as per DIN 3230.

Installation
The expansion joint can be installed in horizontal or vertical piping.
During installation it is essential to make sure that the possible expansion
(contraction) of the pipeline is within the allowable contraction
(expansion) limits of the expansion joint.

Maximum alignment deviations:
DN 80 to 350 - 5 mm
DN 400 to 1200 - 8 mm
DN 1400 to 1600 - 12 mm

Application
Fitting to compensate for changes in pipe
length and for pipeline nonalignment, caused
by temperature changes in piping systems. It
dampens vibrations and reduces unwanted
noise caused by the flow of the service fluid in
the pipeline and other sources of vibration
such as pumps, turbines, and compressors.
For use with non-aggressive and aggressive
liquids, vapors and gases, depending in the
resistance of the rubber insert, for pressures
and temperatures:

Technical description
The expansion joint insert is rubber reinforced
with textile fibres. Steel rings and flat support
flanges reinforce the cylindrical ends and
insert sheets. The rubber insert can be
protected from mechanical damage with a
cover. Expansion joints are usually supplied
with flat welded counter flanges and bolting
material.

Connecting and face-to-face dimensions
Face-to-face dimensions are given in the table
below.
Flange connecting dimensions as per
DIN 2501and ČSN 13 1060.
Flange faces as per DIN 2526 and
ČSN 13 1061 (rough frontal surface).

Material
Expansion insert rubber reinforced
with textile fibres
