Diaphragm-type steam trap- "KOMO" PN 16, PN 25


 

 

Application
This fitting automatically releases condensate
from steam systems for temperature of up to
260°C.


Technical description
The steam trap consist of steel inlet and outlet
parts, between which is clamped a diaphragm
(made of chemical-, heat- and wear- resistant
material) and a steel dish. The condensate is
released by a surface diaphragm valve which
is operated by the pressure of expansion of the
volatile liquid.

Connecting and face-to-face dimensions
Face-to-face dimensions are given in the table
below.
Flange connecting dimensions as per
DIN 2501, DIN 2526, ČSN 13 1060 and
13 1061.

Body (two-part) carbon steel
Dish carbon steel
Diaphragm special rubber

Installation
The steam trap valve can be installed in
horizontal or vertical piping. The steam trap
must not be insulated so that it does not
become overheated.

Operation
Automatic, depending on service conditions.
