Float steam trap - D 15 117-616 PN 16

Operation
Automatic, depending on the service conditions.

Application
Automatic fitting which releases condensate
from steam pressure equipment at
temperatures of up to 300°C. For service
temperatures and pressures:

Technical description
The condensate passes from the body through
a filter into the float chamber, which is a
bonnet. At temperatures up to 90 °C and at
sufficient pressure drop the condensate flows
through the nozzle and the closure plug into
the condensate piping. At temperatures over
100°C or when steam enters the float chamber,
the bimetallic strips are heated up, and close
the outlet. The outlet is then controlled by the
float. The flow size is the proportional
difference between pressures before and after
the steam trap.

Connecting and face-to-face dimensions
Face-to-face dimensions are given in the table
below.
Flange connecting dimensions as per DIN
2501, DIN 2526 and ČSN 13 1060 and
13 1061.

Material
Body, cover grey cast iron (GS-C25)
Functional parts stainless steel (13Cr)

Testing
The steam trap is tested as per DIN 3230,
ČSN 13 3060, part 2.
The steam trap´s through-flow is tested with
hot water, and its tightness is tested with
steam.

Installation
The steam trap is supplied for installation sin
vertical piping. The steam trap must be
adjusted for installation in horizontal piping.
