Yoke gate valve with butt-weld ends
S 41 121(3)-3160..3400, 4160, 4250   PN 400

Operation
The gate valve can be operated by handwheel (ON 13 3114) electric actuator
or from stand (ON 13 3140 and ON 13 3142). The supplier selects type of el.
actuator and maximum pressure drop.

* - pipe bypass ** - with gear

Application
Shut-off valve for water, steam, gases and
other non-aggressive liquids used in energy
and chemical equipment for service pressures
and temperatures (depending on valve material):
The gate valve is not suitable for flow  regulation.

Yoke -4160, -4250

Technical description
The yoke gate valve has a rising non-rotating
stem with its thread outside the valve
chamber. The stem nut is turned to raise or
lower the stem and flexible wedge. Seats and
wedge have hard welded alloy sealing
surfaces. The seats are pressed and welded
into valve body. Stem is sealed with gland
packing in a self-sealing bonnet.

Connecting and end-to-end dimensions
Butt-weld ends as per ČSN 13 1075,
DIN 2559 (or ČSN 13 1070). Valves PN 160
and PN 250 are available also as flanged
valves with face-to-face dimensions
according to ČSN 13 3045. Basic end-to-end
and connecting dimensions are given in the
table.

Material
up to 400°C up to 560°C
Body, bonnet, wedge 11 416 15 128
Stem stainless steel (13 Cr)
Seats 11 416 15 128
Sealing surfaces (weld deposit) stellite 6
Gland packing asbestos-free graphite

Testing
The gate valve is tested per ČSN 13 3060,
part 2, leakage grade 2, DIN 3230-3.

Installation
The gate valve can be installed in horizontal,
vertical or oblique piping. Gate valves with
larger diameter (DN 250 and larger) should be
installed with stem in horizontal position and
actuation upwards. For electrically actuated
valves the axis of electric motor must remain
horizontal (unless regulations for electric
actuator used do not specify otherwise).
